Food rescue is the practice of saving surplus food from being wasted and redistributing it to people who need it. This not only helps combat hunger but also saves resources and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
Every day, our Food Rescue teams collect hundreds of pounds of fresh produce, dairy, deli, meat, and bakery items from grocery stores around the area.
We always welcome new commercial businesses to partner with our Food Rescue program. If you are interested in this program and want to make a difference in our community please contact Jon Grim at jgrim@netfoodbank.org
